I am currently a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since 2023, I’ve been working with Prof. Quoc Tran-Dinh on efficient numerical methods for generalized equations with applications in machine learning. As part of my Ph.D. program, I passed the Preliminary Oral Examination and earned a Master of Science degree in Statistics, Analytics, and Data Science (STANDS) in 2025. Previously, I received my Engineer’s degree in Mathematics and Informatics from the School of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam. During my undergraduate time, I worked with Prof. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy on numerical methods for solving variational inequality problems, split feasibility problems, as well as their generalizations and applications.
